The Fundamental Rights Platform (FRP) is a network for cooperation set up by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) to assist the exchange of information between civil society and the Agency. Members of the FRP take active part in the projects of the Agency concerning research and raising of awareness, they likewise act as important partners in the dissemination of research results. The FRP holds yearly meetings allowing members to bring forward any concerns or suggestions from civil society and present them to the FRA. These meetings shall also facilitate the discussion of current human rights issues.

The FRA itself is a body of the European Union (EU) the main task of which is to ensure that the EU and national governments respect and uphold people’s fundamental rights. Through research and compilation of evidence it detects human rights issues or concerns throughout the EU and then provides advice based on this evidence as to what steps ought to be taken to eradicate such issues.

Further information about the FRP is available here.
